Art and Wine
Peter and I are working on visiting all the wineries north of Atlanta. For this trip, we headed up I-575 to visit Feather’s Edge Vineyards and Cartecay Vineyards. It was a sunny, cold day, and we were looking forward to visiting some wineries for the first time.
Feather’s Edge Vineyards is part of Wildcat on a Wing, an art gallery and event space in Ball Ground, Georgia. The gallery is beautiful, with custom accents by the owner. The tasting room is just off the store, looking over the back sitting area. Tastings offer four wines produced by Feather’s Edge, wines from Three Sisters Vineyards, and sweet wines from The Georgia Winery. We purchased their Etowah Shoals a Vidal Blanc & Pinot Blanc blend to enjoy at home. This is lovely site, and we enjoyed talking with the owners and learning about the history of the property.
