Are you looking for things to do in Dahlonega? Luckily, you’re close to some of the best wineries in North Georgia. You can visit a nearby winery for a tasting, and many also offer food and live music. Go enjoy the beautiful views and hand crafted wines at Dahlonega wineries!
While visiting the historic downtown square, stop in at the Naturally Georgia Tasting Room, where you can sample and purchase wines from several wineries:
They also feature local art, often with in house artists at work.
On the east side of the square is the Habersham Winery Tasting Room Dahlonega, featuring wines from one of Georgia’s oldest wineries.
Wineries Near Dahlonega
Just a few miles from downtown you can visit Accent Cellars, “Dahlonega’s Micro Urban Winery.”
Within 10 miles of Dahlonega you can visit Montaluce Winery & Restaurant, Cavendar Creek Vineyards and Wolf Mountain Vineyards. Make a reservation at Montaluce or Wolf Creek if you’d like to visit the restaurant after your tasting. Cavendar Creek features live music on Saturdays and Sundays; visit their Facebook page to see the current lineup.
A little further northeast of Dahlonega look for Kaya Vineyard and Winery, Frogtown Cellars, Three Sisters Vineyard, and The Cottage Vineyard and Winery. At Three Sisters try one of my favorites, Fat Boy Red, or try their “Chicks and Chocolates” tasting. Have some tasty small plates at Kaya, or a full meal at Frogtown Cellars when their Italian Bistro is open. On a brisk day, sit by the fire pit at The Cottage while you enjoy their wine and mountain views.
